    CLONY
[ age mover of the oblivions ]

Back in the Badlands from which Clony hailed, there were a few feats that it was proud of. Blowing up an entire production factory paled in comparison to their other achievements, like freeing a rabbit from being sawed into a gnarly mess. But, by far, the biggest - and dare they say most badass - thing they had done had occurred on the second day of their life. Clony back then was still pretty young and naive, not really knowing the direness of everything that rested upon them. It was more about survival than anything. There wasn't time for fun when they were being beared down on, hunted, killed. How many deaths they had tallied up were not important. The important thing was the giant machine they had stumbled across that day. Hard metal, giant legs, a massive cockpit, and vents big enough for Clony to enter through. Decommissioned, likely - it had been perfect for Clony. A tight fit through a vent, a few wrong turns, and they'd plopped themselves into the seat. Flashy buttons, all a putrid red color, dull from wear. It was an old machine. The clones had flocked over the device, searching for a way to turn it on. What better a way to get back at someone than to use their own devices against them? A few button pushes, the pull of a lever, a few turns of a page, and the flock of clones were lasering down massive metallic buildings until the mech was bombed from above. It had been a good time, truly.

"What do you mean you don't have blue paper?" Clony asked, their pearly eyes narrowing at the NPC that was currently engaged in conversation with the bat. "I can't make blue prints if the paper isn't blue!" Their fluffy tail swings behind them rapidly. Alas, this NPC had better things to do, and so it would be a rugged and torn light blue paper that came their way. Perhaps they were a busy shopkeeper, perhaps there was another customer more worth their time? Such mattered not to Clony, who now had what they sought and could begin the process of crafting the best technological invention this land had seen. Lasers hadn't been made yet, so technically lasers would still surpass them in their eyes. Clony's ears twitched a little, hopping around the paper after laying it down on a somewhat hard and flat surface. Today was quite windy, a nice break from the heat of summer. Pleasant the wind was not for the paper Clony began trying to scribble on. The wind tugged against the paper, causing for the bat's lines that would have been messy regardless to degrade even more. "Fuck! Fuck fuck fuck! Can the wind go away for a solid, for a solid eight hours? Fuck!" The bat swears, hopping on one corner of the paper only for another to begin rapidly fluttering in the breeze before they can continue writing.

Finally, they cease, plopping down with a talon still gripping the paper. They've torn the paper more than it had been already due to their rough use, and on the paper was what could be considered the world's worst attempt at blueprints. What was on the paper couldn't even be determined, and Clony certainly knew it. Their ears raised a little when an idea came to mind. They rolled up the blueprints and carried them off, only returning after they'd collected a couple stones. Finally Clony was able to sketch in peace, even if the wind rippling the paper was still annoying. They had to flip the paper onto the back - the front sketch was not able to be redeemed in their eyes. "Hey! Hey! You wanna look at this? It's very, very cool. Its blueprints! On blue paper! Of course, its not, its not printed, I couldn't find any permanent toxic sludge around here to use. I should make a printer next. You wanna see? Of course you do, come look!" They chattered with their ever present mental methods, tail wagging with delight to see who would come to observe the bat's craftsmanship ideas on paper.
