WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO LOVE — Where was Harrison? Jacob hadn't been able to find the little boy anywhere until he spotted him darting outside. Panic had immediately come over him and he'd rushed after his son as fast he could. Unfortunately, Jacob wasn't particularly fast between his poor exercise routine and his heavy limp. Still, soon the boy stopped and he was able to rush to his side. He came to a stop and looked towards the figure standing at the border before his eyes lit up. "Babbo! I wasn' expectin' you! Why didn' ya' tell me you were comin'?" he asked. Suddenly he was horribly aware of his bandages. He'd never told Vito what happened in that fire. He hadn't wanted him to worry. Hopefully the man just wouldn't focus on that for too long.
Jacob turned to Harrison with a wide smile, gesturing for the boy to come forward. "Harrison! Come 'ere. Don' worry, he won' hurt ya'. This is your nonno, your grandpa," he explained with a wide smile before looking back to his Babbo. Quickly, the wolfdog closed the gap between them and tried to wrap the older canine in a hug before pulling away. "It's so good ta' see ya'. Why'd ya' come all this way, though? I jus' sent ya' a letter. Ya' coulda' told me you were comin' n' I coulda' met ya' halfway or somethin'. Anyway, are ya' plannin' on stayin' for long?" he asked. There was a part of him that wondered if he'd gotten the last letter he sent, the one that explained his leadership. He'd told Vito he didn't want it. He'd told everyone he didn't want it. He wondered if the man had come to convince him to come home or to convince him to keep the position as long as he could. Both were entirely possible but he couldn't worry about it now. Soon enough, Vito's intentions would become clear as they always did. Seeing his Babbo here was a bit surreal. He didn't think he'd ever seen him outside of a city and seeing him outside that environment somehow felt strange. Jacob noticed his fur was groomed to perfection, as it always was, despite these new surroundings. Jacob wondered how long it'd take him to ask about the bandages but he'd try to save that conversation for a private moment. —A GREAT HONOR TO HOLD YOU UP
