the tundra had very little to offer in variety for herbs. it was mostly the reason the clans harbored peaceful trades between each other, as different locations offered different vegetation. unfortunately echo's bloodthirsty ambitions had spoiled that, overtaking most of the tundra by the time things came to an end. he remembered elk being gone for days just to travel to a single patch of clover or whatever weeds it was he needed. the trades had at least cut that travel time in half...
life was different outside the tundra, though. aarus shined his light on all spreads of the earth for all kinds of life to flourish. holly wasn't jealous or bitter, though. he knew that his sun god had deliberately tested his faith in the tundra. to prove that his faith would lead to a place where he could see him every day. though it was typically said the day would come at death, holly was willing to believe it was because his clan never thought of moving outside of their home. the only other way they could achieve that goal was in death.
that being said, holly had absolutely no experience in gardening. he would easily crush the little sprouts on accident than gently care for them. still, he saw a means to do something here. he approached michael and maggie, careful to stop before stepping on any potential herbs.
"i can build a barrier around it once you're done, maybe? to keep anyone from stepping on it."
