Brandykit finally reacted to her words and Aphra could only watch the cub as he stalked towards her. She wasn't nearly as afraid of him as she was his mother (or mothers, rather). The cub echoed her words, causing Aphra once again to realize the weight of what she had said. I've already said I didn't mean it... Obviously that wasn't enough, but she wasn't sure how to get people to understand. As the Roux cub spat at her, Aphra recoiled and stepped back once more, a disgusted look appearing on her face.
Brandykit had plopped himself in between her and Roxanne now. He went on to explain that Trygve wasn't dead - he was hurt, both emotionally and physically, but he wasn't dead. Aphra said nothing in response to Brandykit and only flattened her ears and looked down at her paws. She had nothing else to contribute to this conversation.
