Although her threat was true to a certain extent, Aphra knew she wouldn't ever harm a child. She may hurt the kid's feelings emotionally but she would never harm them physically and she was rather offended that Goldie believed that she would even attempt such a thing. But then... Roxanne came over.

As the newly promoted Reaver bared her teeth at her, Aphra blinked. "I-I... I didn't mean it like that," She mewed in a pitiful voice, biting her lip slightly as Roxanne started sobbing. "I don't think it's your fault," She tried to move closer to Roxie in an attempt to comfort her and extended a paw out to try and see if she could get permission to wrap herself around Roxanne. Although Aphra had a bad feeling that Roxie would deny her (for good reason, of course), the succubus couldn't help but feel like she had to comfort her in some way. "It's not your fault." She saw Seakit and Eulia come over, of course, but her focus lingered on Roxanne for the moment.

It was her fault for jumping to conclusions and threatening a child, of course, but in the heat of the moment, wouldn't anyone make the same mistake? Aphra felt hot, almost ashamed of the small scene she was causing - but not for the reason you'd think. No, she didn't exactly regret her threat (to her, it wasn't even true in the first place), but because she had upset Roxanne.
