The words echoed in her mind as she approached the scene when the sound of someone sobbing touched her ears briefly, a worried frown on her maw as her mismatched gaze fixated onto her niece's son. Her throat tightened as she tried her best to repress a cry, now wasn't the time for her to sob out. She had to make sure that Brandykit was alright then she would go find Trygve herself, Roxanne walked over slowly feeling her tail drag within the sand and her eyes began to sting lightly before she pressed against Roan with both her ears perked forward. A soft breath leaving her maw as her gaze rested upon Brandy only to mew wity a soft yet pained smile "It isn't your fault, sweetheart." Suddenly, it was Aphra's words that got to her did the tears finally bloom within her eyes and they began to slowly drip down her cheeks onto the sand. She bit her bottom lip with her ears pressed against her cranium, she moved her gaze away from Brandy and Goldie only to hear her niece threaten the stark feline. She bared her teeth only to hiss to Aphra "D... Don't say that... He... My baby isn't dead... He... Can't be..."
