Brandykit's words seemed to echo for a few moments in Roan's ears, the boy trying to process what had just been said about his little brother. He had just been walking through camp, intent on going to get himself some lunch, when Brandykit had spoken up, injured and teary eyed. Roan didn't know the whole of the situation at hand, but he couldn't help the sharp pain that formed in his chest as a result of the other's words. Ry was gone? Where had he gone? Did Brandykit know? He quickly shook his head, brushing those thoughts away hastily.

He had a job to do, Ahab to help. Moving over quickly to the bear's side, the draconic male mumbled softly, "Let... let me know if you need anything, Ahab. I've got plenty of supplies in my bag." He gestured one of his mint green wings down at his medical back, before turning his gaze towards Brandy. He hesitated for a moment, biting down on the inside of his cheek with sharp incisors, before he eventually spoke again, "It's okay, Brandy... I'm sure that Ry will come back, just like I did. I mean... we're family, right? He wouldn't just leave all of us. He wouldn't leave mama and I, and Lu..." He was trying his best to believe his own words, but it was becoming more and more difficult. Would Ry really come back for them? Did they mean anything to him?
