He sighed softly, drawing his wings closer to his body. He shook his head a little bit, as if it would clear his mind of the bad thoughts. His eyes lifted towards Roan again, offering a weak smile. "You're mother.. I'm afraid.. is partially right. Many people here did.. bad things to other people." He responded, his body heaving a long sigh, before lowering his gaze again, pushing at some settled dust between his pawpads. His ears perked at the next question, and he nodded a tiny bit.

"I am. Don't get me wrong- I enjoy being around my father and stuff, but.. being as him and a giant bug dragon are my only true friends, it's a bit lonely." He offered a tiny laugh. His head tilted towards Roan again, feeling slowly that link of trust rising between them. Being able to just talk to someone, it was a huge change for the son of, perhaps, one of the more hated people on this island. He sighed softly. "But it's alright. I manage on my own." He said, trying to pique his voice a bit more.
