    OCTANE AND CAUSTIC

They were taking a walk together, after Octane sat and begged him to come with for like, fifteen minutes. This state of the chemist was really fucking boring. Caustic was sad and lazy and wouldn't tell him why. This was failed booty-call but Caustic owed him some kind of explanation. Fucker was limping and wouldn't let him see that sexy of lab of his. There had to be some reasoning, right?

"There's a couple of cool people in Typhoon, Goldie and Michael are alright," he's blabbering again, talking Caustic's ear off the fill the void of conversation. They were heading to the tavern (eventually, but Octane kept forcing him to make wrong turns so that they could be out longer. Being inside was BORING.) and walked along Tanglewood's streets.

"So anyways, I told the guy- huh?" Oh, it was that lion dude! What was his name again? Oram? Ahroom? Owrum? Arr'm? Huh, he couldn't remember. "Oh dude? A scrapbook! That's kindaaaaa-" he stops, face frozen in thought as his brain puts the words together. "I don't know. I can't place the words. Anyways," he draws in closer, looking over it and very much getting in the lion's space. "Oh you got a camera? Does it work? You should get my good side," he cackles.

He was so tired. Octavio arrived yesterday and the daredevil had yet to give him a moment of peace. He was out his limit, and he knew it was only going to get worse because he had yet to tell Octavio what happened. He should have already- why was he waiting on it? Octavio's reaction shouldn't give him any fear. Was Octavio so feral as to commit violence when he discovered they were not going to escape?
    Perhaps.
It was something he would deal with later.
Caustic's left fore paw falls heavier then the others, giving his companion the occasional grumble and "mm." in response. Hopefully, Octavio was making friends over there. Someone else for him to annoy for a while, but... he didn't have any work now. There was no need for Octavio to be distracted so Caustic could work. So what now?
The direness of the situation only dawns on him further, and he stares into the back of the daredevil's head with a look more sympathetic than a frown.

Aurum comes into view, and Caustic lets a heavy sigh leave him in a puff of gas. Octavio is already speaking for him, so he lets his ears tilt back as he idly listens.
