Yea, well no shit she and her sisters didn’t deserve to see their father slaughtered. The memory was very fresh in her little brain. In her 3 months of existence the girl had endured a lot of trauma and misery. Unlike most children her mind did not simply absorb it and move on.
What happened to her father interrupted everything normal. It corrupted any chance of normalcy the girl had. Instead of talking to someone or rather being forced to speak on her emotions they were stored away where they festered. Her inner turmoil was perhaps the only thing keeping the girl going. Trauma disguised as motivation and a vendetta against the world.
In moments like this, it was a little harder to see her ugly side. But it did show how stupid she was despite her futile attempts to pretend otherwise. Another disguise but one so convincing she believed it herself to be true. If she was smarter she would’ve questioned Ivan’s apparent lack of loyalty to his family. The little cat didn’t even attempt to create a facade of devotion or even allegiance to the people he came from.
Which was fine, he was begging her for mercy in the future. She liked that. It buttered her little biscuit. It wasn’t the best, but the girl would attempt to sashay her way up to Ivan and smile her most charming little beaming grin.
“Of course! I’ll save a spot for a handsome boy like you...” at my feet. On your knees. Maybe the boy would come in handy. Besides, he already played into her fantasies much more than her sisters so she already enjoyed spending time with him more than them.
“You know who is going to be on top. But you do have me confused, I don’t want to rule. Care for a bunch of manky sots? No thank you!
She batted her eyes at him softly and cocked her head gently to the left, “Well Mr. Roux. Where am I?”
