WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO LOVE — Jacob tried to be as careful as he could on the ice following the incident with Izuku. Any other day he probably would've been fine, his legs would have recovered quickly and he'd have gotten up by himself but they'd just refused to move and he'd been stranded until his apprentice helped him back to the medic den where he was able to treat himself. When he came across another patch of ice, he was careful to move out of it's way until he noticed a lion on the ice and heard a creaking sound as he tried to move. "Aizawa! Don't-" he began but the great creature was plunged into the water only moments later. A gasp came from the wolfdog as he mind began to reel. What was he supposed to do? He was both frosthealer and he chief, he had to do something. He knew he wasn't big enough to pull the lion up on his own but he was pretty sure there weren't any creatures large enough to do that in Snowbound, considering he was bigger than most of his clanmates. He inched onto the ice, holding his breath as he moved. The ice creaked beneath him as he tried to move at a steady pace while not causing a bigger crack. It creaked under his paws and panic surged in him. He was trembling but he kept moving forward, his eyes on the bobbing figure of Aizawa.
He began to reach in his bag, pulling rolls of bandages from his bag it but they weren't the usual thin, white ones he used for treating others. These were a thick cloth adorned with different patterns and colors. These were Jacob's personal bandages, the ones that were really closer to clothing than to a medical necessity. As he came near the opening, he hesitated for a moment. What if they were damaged? What if he couldn't use them? What if- no. He couldn't think like that. The lion's life was more important than any stupid bandages. Still, he felt tears gathering in his eyes as he took the thick cloth and threw it into the water. He wasn't big enough to directly push Aizawa up but maybe he could pull him to shore. "Aizawa! Hold on! I can drag ya' ta' the side!" the husky called. —A GREAT HONOR TO HOLD YOU UP
