Perhaps Aphra should’ve seen this coming. But to her, a lot of people made empty promises and threats - so whenever Samantha landed in front of her safe spot and snarled, Aphra was in for a shock.

”I’ll claw your face off if you come any closer.” Aphra threatened with a hiss, her fur puffing out in an attempt to hide her surprise. Ironically enough, the ivory feline didn’t mean her words, but she was certainly hoping that it would make Sam go away. ”Leave me be.” This was her safe spot, a place where she came to feel better. Because she certainly felt like shit right now. Not for the right reason, though; no, Aphra didn’t regret what she had said to Goldie. Nah, she was insecure because Marina ruined her good looks. These wounds were bound to make scars and those were imperfections.

”Don’t you have something better to do than hunt me down?” Aphra continued on. There was a bit of mockery in her tone, referring to how Sam should be trying to comfort Goldie or burying their child.
