His face sort of blanked when Draekon mentioned living here before. A million questions would surface suddenly. Why did you leave? What are your morals? Why do you want to come back?
How come he couldn’t recall this man? Were they here during his little isolation period?
And then they mentioned Jervis and Kydobi knew very well that he should’ve came across them.
Kydobi leaned his neck forward and stretched it, swallowing before speaking, “Jervis is dead and the old violent ways died with him. I’m the Ardent now.”
So he was an old head perhaps. This probably meant Kydobi needed to clarify more, “I’ve had a lot of changes. First off, slavery is over and illegal. I don’t condone any form of it and I will punish any who disobey this.”
