• deku is an insult given to him by bakugou katsuki, meaning wooden puppet or figure. used for someone who can't do or achieve anything.

why did you he choose and stay in this group?
it was an accident. izuku wanted to explore the island, and was invited to join while he was there. he was .. lonely, and afraid, so he accepted. he's thus far stayed because he doesn't have anywhere to go -- maybe he'll be found if he stayed in place long enough? by good or bad, it doesn't matter to him.
how does he feel about his rank? why did he choose this path?
izuku can be ambitious, but ranks arent his dream job. he'd accept a rank if given, but would generally find it lacking.

➵ PHYSICAL

➵ APPEARANCE: Izuku is a small and lithe green-furred cat. He has thick and plush partially-curled green fur. His pelt is striped with dark green, near-black. His muzzle, chest, tail-tip, paws and belly are all mint-green. He's covered in small dark green spots resembling freckles, appearing most frequently on his face, ears, legs, wings, and tail. His eyes are large and round, colored electric blue-green. His wings are too small for him to fly with, and is colored dark on the top, and mint on the primaries. His tail is bobbed. Izuku is muscular for his small size and build, and is roundly-shaped. Burn scars are scattered throughout his pelt.

• Izuku's fur is ... messy. He doesn't tend to it frequently.
• his fur and wings are just as soft as they look, though!! which is to say -- very.
• izuku's expressions are very .. open and honest. they tend to run with a current of anxiety.
• izuku's smiles vary between shaky and large and genuine.

• can calm down in private depending on who he's with.

• wakes with the sun. immediately starts doing stretches
• trains for several hours
• some nights he cant sleep. sleeps fitfully when he does.
• picks up skills quickly. always tries to be at the front (if he's not so afraid he stays to the back)
• tends to plants, sometimes. decent at cooking. LOVES to do analysis.

➵ MANNERISMS/DEMEANOR: izuku tries to stay on the down low. he tends to be very skittish and afraid of people. he is, however, very friendly past.

• izuku's favorite color is yellow. its a happy color, and reminds him of all might : )

• izuku has a mom! all of his other family members are estranged.

what are the biggest influences on his personality and behavior?
All Might influenced Izuku SO MUCH. All Might was Izuku's idol for a long time, and even before meeting him, Izuku tried to mimic him in, a lot of things. Once they met, he started training Izuku.
All Might has caused Izuku's confidence to increase!
On the other ... most of Izuku's timid behaviors can be linked to Bakugou. : )
