KEKHAI dragon-jaguar hybrid - alithís evgenis - they/them
Their siblings were bigger than they were. That was an absolute fact. They were smaller than the other hybrids that they were related to. Some of them had easily been able to be told who was the other parent besides Bai Shi. The near silver colored, worm looking youth was not easily able to be identified. They were Bai Shi's heir, certainly - such was expected for they had hatched out of the egg that Bai Shi had laid. Who the other parent was? They didn't know. They weren't exactly old enough to really care about such a thing. One of their siblings, on the other hand, had certainly made it clear that they were the heir of the Ardent of the Pitt and the new leader of the group that they and their siblings lived within currently. Their opinion on the matter? They didn't particularly care for any ranking system. Kekhai's mind was young, and such a thing didn't matter to his childish self. All they knew was that they loved their family a whole lot. There was bickering, yes - any family had such a thing. Kekhai was too young to fully comprehend, and that was fine by them.
They were looking for something to do, and something came in the form of scrambling around. The world was big! It was exciting and vibrant and it surprised them frequently. It stunned them and was absolutely dazzling. The feeling of grass beneath their talons was stunning. They were confused by the strange feeling. They frequently would roll around in the grass or dirt, getting dirty just because they wanted to feel how the grass and dirt and mud felt all over their scales. They wanted to feel the squishy mud, dusty dirt, and soft grass. Childish play it was, rolling around in the grass. Their silver scales resisted the pigment of the grass, keeping them safe from suddenly becoming emerald color. Mud, of course, was a different story and certainly would result with Kekhai getting dirty. Currently, they'd been absently chewing on a pawful of grass. Their attention had been ensnared, and the grass tumbled from their small mouth.
Kekhai's silvery head raised up when they noticed their sibling approach. The one that usually saw the other siblings as competition for the right to be the best heir to the two parents. The Prince, the self proclaimed title the other had claimed. Kekhai thought it was a funny word, despite not fully being able to grasp the meaning of the word. If the other wanted to be a prince? Sure! Why not? Kekhai saw no definition behind the noise, and it was fine by them because of such. If they'd been able to understand? It wasn't debatable if he'd care for it simply wasn't something they were interested in. "Buh!" Kekhai chirped in delight. They picked up a nearby stick, deciding that this was worthy to show to their older brother. It was bigger than they were, and it was a struggle to drag it over to close the distance. "Mmm!" The silvery youth tried to speak past the stick that they had clamped within their tiny jaws. The hatchling's lanky tail flicked rapidly behind them, excitement demonstrated in a physical manner. The stick was dropped, and another 'buh' parted from their maw. Their finned and mammalian ears wriggled, delight shown in their eyes as they expectantly waited for their brother's response to such a mighty and large stick being presented to them.
