[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-family:verdana;"]Aurum's ability to shift in and out of a fatherly guise was as amusing to watch as it was terrifying. One moment he was raging fire, and the next, he was calling an unfamiliar kit "little one" and treating them like one of his own; funny, how people put on masks and took them off so easily. The kit would surely never imagine the kind of hatred Aurum could direct towards a threat when he offered a smile so warm. Sam, less so - she appeared a bit disgruntled, but from what little Kazuhira had seen of her since her return, that seemed to be a default. She wasn't particularly unfriendly, just seemed less-than-pleased about her current circumstances and cautious of anything out of the ordinary. That was, of course, fair enough.

The young feline at the border appears only apprentice-aged, and peculiar in their appearance. Much like their neighborhood party-thrower, Kris had brightly colored fur unlike the camouflage-conducive earth tones that shaded most pelts. He supposed Aurum had already asked the more important details, though he couldn't help wondering where Kris had ventured from, be it another group or some far-off land. He'd ask later, he supposed. For now, the cheetah came to a halt beside the Proxy, nodding calmly in greeting to the stranger and saying nothing else for now.
