Danger was something that Sam had had too much of in her past life. The travel from California, all the way to Georgia. It hit her now, the distance they traveled, the people they met, killed, passed dead bodies- it was nerve wracking, the feelings it brought back. It made her sick, didn't it? She grumbled softly, reaching up to rub her temple for a moment. The soft chuckle of Goldie brought her stable again, like Dean's back did. It brought her back to reality, back to feeling and back to the moment in front of her. She looked at her, giving her a tiny, tired and achingly longing smile. More friends, something more then friends. The loss of Dean had been a wrench in her plans, that was for sure.. But Sam really didn't make plans.
She wasn't organized enough for that.
But it wasn't like Sam was dumb enough to miss the looks that Goldie threw her way. There was longing, yearning there too. The genuine smile after her protecting statement, the deep trust that she wasn't sure how far it truly ran, how far that Sam should hope it did. She was never sure, really, of what the situation truly meant. It was like a dance, a cadence even, between Goldie and Sam so often it made her head spin. Her heart, too, where she stood beside Goldie- friend, or closer? Friend, or closer?
It seemed she didn't have to answer that. A warm touch, a curl of a paw over Sam's smaller and more damaged form. Her ears relaxed for a moment, and her breath held as she leaned into Goldie. Intimate touches was something she barely shared, so she reserved it. Dean was special, Aurum was protective light she needed when she returned, when she truly needed it. The question posed made her pause for a moment, uncconsidering she needed to answer when she was leaning back in return. Her head turned for a moment, tucking as much as she could before those antlers of hers would poke at Goldie. "It's perfect." She replied in a muffled tone, thanks to being stuffed inside of a certain tiger's fur.
