Her eyes rolled in an immediate response to his own response. He was scared? She opened her mouth to throw another offense, only to realize he didn't sense her tone. She cursed softly, eyes dropping to the side. For a moment, they chased back, sadly tracing him, the slight amount of fire to her tone just before wandering away within a heartbeat. The way he looked at her, the winces, the sad look but the cheerful smile caused her heart to twist and body to freeze sharply.
His next words caused her to plop down in a seat across from him, her legs still aching tiredly from the missed meals, days and days over. Her eyes dropped down for a moment, her ears twitching. She gaze a bitter laugh at his statement, looking back up towards him. "I dunno about that." She replied quietly. "You always did have an eye for Crow n' his posse." Sam murmured, jokingly. She felt the happiness from hearing that, at least, making sure his appreciation didn't go unheard by using humor, hopefully.
"But that's not you. Your old body wasn't that pretty." To Sam, it wasn't hard to detect. She raised her paw, conjuring something into it. Her face grimaced as a cigarette settled into her paw, and she rolled it on the table for a little bit, not yet wanting to get up for a smoke. Sam had visions of being destroyed. The bodies, the souls collecting around one body, Grace's visions onto the Wildmen- she knew of them, of course, but this meant that she could tell the difference between the body before her, and Leroy's soul. She looked up, a dangerous glimmer in her eye. "Leroy.. what happened to you? "
