  [font=trebuchet ms]The howling echoed all the way to the coast, loud enough that Rin could overhear it. Turning her head towards the source of the noise, she raised a brow. It didn't sound like a cry for help, but she couldn't be sure- she ought to go investigate. Stuffing some bandages and general-use herbs into her satchel, she slung the bag around her shoulders and raced towards the border.

  Arriving shortly after Cosette and Nemhain, Rin stopped next to the latter, watching the two wolves converse- they were siblings, apparently. She could sense Nemhain's caution, and while she couldn't figure out exactly what the persona was concerned about, she couldn't blame her either. Quennel didn't appear to be a threat, but the Maiden had initially appeared in the form of... a normal mortal.

  The fact that Cosette recognized her, however, suggested Quennel was legitimate- probably. If Rin suspected every stranger that crossed the border, she'd just drive herself crazy.

  Shaking her head, Rin reached into her bag. "Better to treat your wounds first," she replied, removing a few sprigs of marigold and some bandages. "Wouldn't want them getting infected." Preparing a poultice out of the marigold, she would then attempt to apply the poultice to Quennel's cuts.
