Not such a feat? Ridiculous. The jaguar merely shook her head in disagreement. Any conversation with the finest or the kindest were welcome in her mind, especially with an animal of great respect. Goldenluxury was their leader. She wasn't there for no reason. "I wouldn't say that now," Marina responded back. Her tone remained playful, but veered on the more serious side of things. "You're a lot more welcoming than most." From the cat calls to the ridicule, she was happy to have someone talk to her normally. The thought made her heart flutter. Intimate conversations, especially ones that delved into the hypotheticals, were her favorite.
On a lighter note, Marina could say she wasn't the worst person to talk to either. Despite her introverted feelings, she freely flaunted herself. Whether that was to make a statement or satisfy her own self-deprecation, she did not care. As long as what she was doing would please herself and the others, the jaguar would be satisfied. That included Goldenluxury too. As they talked, she was keeping herself on her toes. With every reply, she replied with a one-off comment or a joke to keep the mood afloat. In her mind, it only seemed customary.
With a snicker, she continued on. "I ain't sayin' the drunk crewmates are the worst animals to talk with," came her sarcastic purr, "But there are better options sometimes." Listening to their slurs had to be tiring anyways. Their problems may be valid, but perhaps the alcohol was an addition to the drunkard's downfall in life. Marina would never know. Nor would she bother indulging in the devil's drink on a consistent schedule.
As they progressed on, the jaguar tried to lighten the mood. Why not focus on the positives? "Not to toot m' own horn but-" She winked strategically with a light laugh. "-I might consider myself a better conversationalist." A colorful tail would aim to lightly caress at Goldenluxury's chin. Her action would be followed by a slight smirk.
