Kaito rubs his paw against his head, sighing and nodding. "Yep. Aaaand, you just took out one of my cruisers. Keep goin'." He tells the lion, his tail twitching with irritation, though not at Aurum - just at losing the stupid game. However, he smiles at the fact he could lighten the mood, leaving the lion to chuckle.
Unfortunately, that mood crashed at his other comment. Blue and red in the moonlight? No no. What a twisted joke, right? Something to get him off his game. He'd recalled that he'd seen a simulation, an idea, a drawing of Pandora showing it as a red gem inside a blue one - shown underneath rays of moonlight, but surely Aurum had no clue what that was... did he? Besides, he didn't know that Kaito was Kaitou KID, and by extension, the gem the thief was looking for. Based off of his shrug, his nonchalant movements, was this normal?
He frowns, eyes widening in fear, perhaps disgust, before thinking: it was a joke. A joke. It had to be. He got his blue eyes from his father! The adolescent smiles again. Despite the static running up through his legs, his every fiber wanting to check if it was true. His chest feeling as though he was drowning once more, tightening with an iron fist, because if it was true, then- that fire was because of YOU - he looks normal on the outside. Smiling, happy, dramatic: Kaito. "Jeez, Aurum-san," he begins, mischief masking his utter terror, "I never thought you woulda been so cunning to try to get me to think about something else! Gotta hand it to you, that joke about my eyes is pretty good." They were blue, blue blue, and that's all.
