She let Goldie pass her, standing and awkwardly observing her. She seemed to toy with the blankets a bit. It was almost a dog-like, or nesting instinct she supposed. Had she known Goldie wasn't a typical blanket user, there wouldn't have been as much there. But she shifted her weight from paw to paw with a gentle tilt of her head. Sam herself was smaller in form, and probably shorter in fur length anyways. She got cold easily, so to make up for a length of body warmth, she leaned into the blankets and the weight of them instead.
Her ears gently twitched as she spoke. She felt the softness radiate a bit, and took a hesitant step forward, letting her finish her statements. The way she spoke alone had made Sam lean into her a bit more. She felt her breath catch, for a moment. Somewhere in her mind, the click of a cassette tape sliding into place, and the hum of drums, synth, and guitar flooded to life. The bitter taste of betrayal hit her tongue again, her eyes shifting to the side. Could she let herself trust again? The music started to overwhelm the bitter taste, and when she looked back towards Goldie, it was only amplified.
"Friends? Yeah, 've got to rebuild all of that." She replied with a snort, the synth music gently fading away as she ambled closer by a bit. Sam was exhausted, just the same as Goldie, but it originated from lack of energy due to being, well, just bones. She cleared her throat as Goldie spoke again, spluttering a bit by the end. One paw raised, gently tapping her own chest. "If.. if you want." Sam replied, slowly stepping onto the blankets and laying down. A faint wince pasted onto her face for a moment, making it clear Sam was still in pain. "Do what you want, though. You should be comfortable." She gestured towards the pillows. She didn't exactly mean herself, but if the loopy demigod chose her, well, Sam couldn't exactly fight.. right?
