THEY SAY THAT I AM THE SICK BOY
EASY TO SAY WHEN YOU DON'T TAKE THE RISK, BOY
He was exhausted, both physically and emotionally. He was just glad that nobody had come during the actual process of giving birth to the kids, because for some reason he didn't like the idea of someone seeing him like that. Vulnerability, in that aspect, wasn't something the fox was overly fond of, and he was relieved when Kydobi entered only after the kits were all snuggling by his stomach. The black jaguar was a welcomed sight to the canine, who draw in a deep breath to try and relax. If he was honest about things, aside from his sister then Redvox was the person he'd socialized with the most. Now that the bat-goat was gone and Jervis was locked away, Fourth had nobody. Nobody to talk to and laugh with, nobody to take comfort in. It was hard for a monster whose roots lay in socializing with others, and even with Gael and Aine around it didn't seem like enough. Next to Jervis and Vox though, Kydobi was the next best thing, the next constant presence that he was familiar with.
When they spoke he let his eyes close and laid his head down, seeming to relax a bit more. He wanted to say Jervis, but he knew there was no point in that. Not only could the fox not come of his own accord, but nobody would have let him loose even if they could. The Ardent may be an emotional, arrogant ass, but he'd given Fourth an outlet for so many things that it was hard not to have him around anymore.
So instead he grunted a 'no' and tried his best to get used to the feeling of the kits feeding against his belly. Everything about it still felt wrong, but not to the degree that he was willing to abandon them. No, as aloof as he could be these were his kids, and he wasn't so selfish or impulsive that he would let them perish, especially after going through so much trouble to keep them alive.
"I don't know the first thing about kids, Kydobi." he confessed softly, the words a rumbling murmer as his wine red gaze stared off ahead of him at the wall. Half of his kids usually ended up hating him just because he lacked the right instinct, and the ones that didn't only idolized him because of his accomplishments. What would come from these four? Would he end up ruining them as well? He'd been relying on Jervis to give them the things he couldn't, to compensate for the fact that Fourth was an aloof, distant guy that didn't know how to properly express himself.
What was he supposed to do now?
