Bastille didn't particularly like to let Luna out of his sight, recently. He highly doubted that Beck was just going to come after her again (he was that stupid, but probably bored of Luna by now), but still. She had vanished once. Bast was not willing to take the risk of her disappearing once more, particularly not after what she had been through. Which necessarily meant that if Luna was near their borders, so was Bast, typically only moments behind her. (Did he care if she noticed? No, not particularly.)
As he came to a stop beside his mentor, the corporal eyed this stranger with disinterest, giving him no further attention than he normally would until this guy indicated that he knew Luna, somehow. Scowling, Bast glanced between the two of them before studying Noctis closely, as if analyzing him for any poor intentions. Luna seemed pleased to see this guy, but the bengal simply stared at him suspiciously, offering no introduction himself.
