YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE
YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE
Perhaps in another circumstance, a boy would be filled with relief. With sorrow. And warmth. This individual who had offered to take him in, proclaim himself as father and allow him to say that he has family, has now come to take him out of this place. This situation. He came to free him. He wanted the boy to be free. He believed that he should be.
But, the boy is not under the right circumstances. He has been stolen, but the individual who had taken him was not the master who has turned his mind. A fox, instead, with a face half burnt off, has declared himself in charge of this fire wielding weapon. And now his mind is too loud. Too confused. He's no idea what is real and what's fake. All he knows is that he must listen to him. He must follow his instructions. That is what he was made to do. Fight. Follow instructions. Any memories of before have been overtaken by the noise.
And the words that the male lets out is just more noise.
The tiger is pushed, and he stumbles backward, huffing heavily as he stares at the lion with distant eyes. He growls in a warning, body curling around itself in defense. Flames begin to rise around him. There is no sense in any of it. But it's all he can do.
