It made sense, for such a horrific place to only awaken within a fall's night air, argus cared little for the patrons that would go back and forth. the kind of dwellers that sought out services only found within the night; they rather liked to remain closer towards the border, the desert; alike the jungle the sands only grew in activity under the less harsher rays of a lighter celestial body. It was less punishing, more kinder foe; and it was a time argus found themselves more aware of themselves than the previous cycle - at least for the past days. The night was more rewarding at the borders ; watching dwellers sneak off to their secret homes the rest of them pretended to not know of; watching some of the rarer breeds of predictor lurk among the dunes.
It was hard to describe what drew them closer towards camp that night ; the bustle of activity had never drawn the beast like it did others. But the flippant call of one of the higher positions perked the dragon's interest ; and they found themselves there, resting within the shadows - escaping the light of the moon's own beacon - argus was a pale refraction of something pure ; and within the underbrush their ten glowing eyes seemed postivily demonic - hollow in nature.
