"Hey Sanzu," the sand cat called, blinking as she spotted the little dragon in the sun. A book? That's a big book, for a child. Or for herself. Honestly speaking the Magna may be lacking in... The more sophisticated subjects. Her family taught her some letters, and she understood basic sentences most of the time... Well. Reading never stood as a matter of importance back home.
Her family's stories, her people's languages... They passed this down orally. So Depur never possessed it. Her brows creased as she narrowed her eyes, studying the massive tome. "If you wanna learn to read, this isn't a good start," she offered gently. "Hold on just a sec."
Quickly, the Demdji bounded towards a small, empty house. She found the place during her explorations of the town. The building seemed vacant of any residents but housed a full bookshelf if she remembered correctly. A-hah. With an air of confidence, the Magna grabbed a short picture-filled book from the shelf and trotted back to the young dragon.
"Try this one instead," she offered, placing the book on the table. With a brightly illustrated cover, the title read The Ugly Duckling. "Pictures help."
