As much as Crow wanted to crack a joke as Leroy fumbled with the door, he kept his lips sealed, deciding that now of all times would not be the best for a nonchalant quip at the hound's inability to break eye contact. Was he staring? Am I staring? He felt hot embarrassment rise in his cheeks, and he quickly dropped his own gaze to the ground just beneath the hound's feet.

The feline was caught off guard when Leroy plopped on the floor in front of him, and he expected to be met with a snarky remark when the dog opened his mouth to speak, but instead his voice was bleak, and Crow thought he almost sounded sad as he acknowledged the peculiarity of the whole situation and then proceeded to essentially spill his guts. The tabby's suspicions proved to be true, and there truly was something wrong. Crow lowered himself onto his haunches to sit, keeping a respectable distance for he was unsure of how to handle this. Leroy had never opened up to him in such a way before, and quite frankly it was strange.

"What do you want me to do..?"
