To say he this was the last thing he was expecting would be an understatement. Everything about this whole situation was a curveball. From Jervis' unusually good mood to the sudden promotion and the amount of people promoted.
Once he would've felt like this promotion was long overdue, that he had long since proved his worth. However a little things had changed since then. Kydobi was no longer actively seeking a higher position, but that did not mean he would reject such a title.
When his name was called he tensed and straightened his posture for it was unexpected and looked up. He looked at Fourth and Bai, dipping his head. Before coughing out a, "Proud to serve you Jervis." Clearing his throat he would look at the single eye. Remembering when its counterpart was still intact.
Finally when his mind cleared a little, he would realize that this was a higher position. Just below Vicar... And so he would be even more affiliated with the Pitt. People would hate him even more for he was rewarded a promotion in the Pitt. So "well" did he carry out tasks and live the life as a Pittian. Hiding in the trees to escape from his life was more closer to the truth. But the other members of the other groups would easier point their fingers and condemn him because it was easiest to blame those at the head of an organization. It wasn't fine but he would tell himself it was. Force that idea down his throat like bitter medicine and he would swallow it for it would make him better.
He almost shut his eyes but he had to know how this would affect his day to day life. He looked at Bai a little longer than the rest before inhaling. Deeper in the Pitt they had dug themselves somehow.
"What does this promotion have for us in regards to responsibilities and authority? Is there anything more you'd expect to see from us?"
