the sage had enjoyed taking care of rin while she had stayed. the coyote had been on their way to see her again when they saw the gift she had left paired with a note. their head tilted slightly before peering into the house. upon seeing it empty, their expression fell.
how sad. they wished rin had stayed for them to say farewell, but perhaps she was in a hurry. they gathered her 'payment' quietly and tucked her note in their satchel before going inside, cleaning up the treehouse to prepare it for their next guest or crewmate.
