it'd been a long time since noct had seen anyone he even vaguely recognised. the last time he had was... well, probably the last time he'd seen his father. he missed him, the king, or at least the king of the place he had come from, though he wouldn't speak those feelings aloud. when it came to coping with struggles, noctis often kept them internal. it was strange seeing lunafreya, it was like when you saw something out of your peripheral vision but you weren't so sure it was truly there. that's how he'd felt when he first saw her. noctis was forgetful about many things, but the darling girl from his childhood was not something so easily forgotten. "lady lunafreya," a smile tugged at the corners of the bengal's lips. it had been a long time since he'd last saw her, but her name still rolled off his tongue with the same childish joy as it had when he was younger. nontheless his way of speech came across as more formal than it had before, his princely mannerisms only momentarily cropping up. "i wouldn't expect to find you here," it was clear he had questions, but for her sake, he'd hold onto them. for the moment, he was more curious as to whether she recognised him as he did her.

the surprise reunion was interrupted, then again they hadn't exactly been alone from the beginning. while his forward attitude was depicted as perhaps confident, it was more likely to be arrogance. he'd had nothing but the future to fear as a child, he'd had servants and bodyguards at his beck and call, whether it was against his will or not. even if it hadn't been intended by his father, noctis had lived somewhat sheltered. he'd learned of evil, and good, of how to fight and how to tell who was an enemy. though he hadn't had to meander through every day struggles, hadn't needed to find his own food, to earn money, whether he meant it or not, there was a reckless arrogance that had been adapted from that. "HD, huh? that's a weird thing to be calling someone but sure thing." what? it was. it wasn't as though it were a bad thing it was just... unusual. "a grand tour of the sleeping place will do, i can figure out the rest." it was true, noct loved his sleep.

next, a white feline, nocts metaphoric brow raising with curiosity, "sure, wasn't like it was copyrighted or anything," he seemed like a chill guy? well, he had been told, or rather scolded, on a multitude of occasions for his laid-back mannerisms and almost narcoleptic tendencies. he wasn't actually narcoleptic he just fell asleep easily, and a lot. "anything's a pretty broad spectrum, guess i'll settle for suite though." there was a friendly nod of his head before it was thrown in yet another direction. man, he was tired from all this socialising. not to mention how his cheeks were starting to hurt, he hadn't smiled for this long since, well probably since the last time he saw luna. his cheerful nature had certainly become less frequent as he'd grown older.

unlike the others, noctis seemed to inspect the leader closer. it wasn't that he was particularly interested in starrynight himself, no, he simply wished to highlight any similarities he might have to his father. there were few, his father had been a cheery man, but he was also weary and old, noct hoped he was okay. there was a brief frown from the bengal before it was quickly swept away. "the leader? right, yeah, right back at ya, and thank you, all of you, for the warm welcomes."

    "speech". — ✯
