When Lilja mentioned the mint, Straw made a mental note of its use as a pesticide, since the nutritional value of fire ants was outweighed by the annoyance they caused. The stings and plant damage weren't worth it.
Reusing a rooftop was clever, too. Apparently she'd already had the seeds... Straw was curious as to how. "Where'd you get them?" she asked, looking down at the seedlings. "The seeds, I mean." The strawberries would take six weeks; she had no problem waiting that long, time seemed to pass quickly here.
After a moment, she added, "What's a... 'summer symphony'?"
