LIGHTS GO OUT AND ALL I SEE—
after several days spent carefully watching her garden's progress, lilja decided to take some time to herself. it wasn't usual the direwolf had spent 'alone time' in terms of taking time specifically meant to herself. she typically used her time to progress in some goal she had for herself or others.. though today... it was simply much too beautiful to remain stuck on her tomato sprouts all day.
she decided to roam off-territory today. instead she went as far as she felt needed away from the elysium's safety blanket of borders. she left a short note for conri if he came by, explaining where she would be and when she would return. approximately a few days, just to enjoy a few days of rest. thankfully an npc was willing to water her garden while she was absent.
gradually, as she grew further and further away, the terrain began to take a turn. lilja found herself in a dying wheat field. it looked entirely abandoned. mice infested the plot. there was a dull shed several acres away that looked all but sturdy to handle a simple windstorm. it was unfamiliar and strange, but lilja felt... nice here. she imagined what this land may have once been. perhaps a large, bountiful field that harvested enough wheat to feed an entire neighborhood of hungry families each winter.
she moved along the brittle stalks, deep in her imaginitive thought.
