Time had melded together quite substantially for him with hours flowing into days and days into months and months into years. If one made him guess Vovk would have to say he had been wandering and surviving off what he found for probably five years now, having learned and practiced even more the skills of remaining silent and killing swiftly in the night. The change of scent allowed him knowledge that he had entered someones territory in his wandering which immediately put him on guard and watching out for any non-friendly parties and cautiously continuing forward
