RAMONA LINGRÉ
✯ — THE GROWN UPS TAUGHT ME TO WATCH AND LEARN

she really was far from being meant to hold onto difficult moving things such as the jaguar below her smaller frame. when his legs buckled, she felt guilt, not having known that she had that much weight on her body before she remembered that this was alright. it was supposed to happen.
she wasn't a newborn at her mother's belly anymore, she was a growing girl who needed to learn some defense against the world. so now, she tried her best to hold onto kydobi with what sounded like an unsure growl, her paws slipping against his sleek fur, dull claws having very little purchase.
in some part of her mind, perhaps she hesitated at the feeling of the lethal muscles working below her, a reminder of her place in society. maybe this would prove to be a change in her pace as she grew up, a reminder that even the kindest could hide danger and an intent behind a pretty smile, a lesson that she ought to remember and use to her own gain.
as he moved below her, she felt her gravitational core shifting, almost losing her grip as he jerked forward in a sprint before he slowed abruptly to make a movement in another direction. giving a startled noise, she took a deep breathful of air as the halt in motion threw her body from his back. hitting the ground with a heavy impact, landing on her side, not having the mobility and flexibility that she desired, she was immediately winded from the crushing impact against her ribs and hip.
she didn't stay down for much longer than a millisecond, her head spinning and the fur above her eyes dirtied and bleeding, having cracked her temple against a rock. up on her paws, the youngster ignored the acidic scent of blood, the memories of sparring running through her body, eyes dulled with the self removal of urges. she was battle trained, mostly, but the training and the dark memories accompanying it were buried under mental restraints.
tail swishing behind herself, she uttered a low growl, caught between a true battle and practice battle, her amber eyes locked on kydobi as she crouched, looking for an opening to attack before she was shaking her head, ears flopping about as she pushed the memories and instincts back into the corner that they came from, her eyes growing brighter. she was shaken, but that was something that she would handle by herself later.
