Aizawa feels a bit of unspoken relief as he's followed. Really, he didn't want to be alone, either. Under these circumstances, who would? Usually he favored solitude, but right now, being on his own would be less than ideal. Leading him like this, though, did give him a sense of familiarity. He wasn't sure where he was going, exactly, but Izuku probably didn't know that much better than him, anyways. He couldn't be relying on him all the time now.
There's that silence again as they trot along, the lion aimlessly walking wherever. He keeps an eye out for something--what, he isn't sure, but he's still vigilant. As the feline had told him, the other people around here were apparently not that friendly. Normally he wouldn't be so cautious, but he wasn't sure of himself in this form, nor in his powers. He wasn't even sure if he could still use them.
So, it only gave him that much more reason to avoid trouble. He was afraid they wouldn't find shelter any time soon, yet it didn't take them long to find a small cave, carved into the side of a hill. It was slightly hidden by the snow and he was glad that he had seen it when he did.
Snow drips down onto Aizawa's back as he enters, soaking through the blanket and making him grumble in discomfort. He definitely wasn't a fan of the terrain so far. The hole definitely wasn't that much better than outside, but it was a little warmer. He didn't waste time in plopping down and burying his face in his scarf, curling up towards the corner to give Izuku space if he chose to join him.
