The world was quiet up here. Sure there was calls and chatters from the natural inhabitants. But still quiet and fresh.
Spread out on a branch dangled a resting shadow. His body could fall should he shift a little too much on one and yet he lies perfectly still. Perfectly comfortable. A deep exhale is exuded and a flash of pink as he licks his muzzle. He did not sleep to dream, he hardly ever did nowadays and he wasn't sure if he would welcome it either. The world is a bitter place and dreams sometimes provide such sweet relief that waking up makes the reality all the harder.
And so Kydobi rested with caution. His body knew better than to put himself in total vulnerability. He gave up closing his eyes and instead lazily held them open, soaking in the security of the canopy above. It was nice to be back in a place so familiar and yet so different from what he knew. But jungles were jungles. It was just who claimed them that made the difference. And who exactly were these Pittians? He wasn't really sure although he was technically one, he didn't actually consider himself of them. He didn't know enough and he hadn't been here long enough.
