Izulu hadn't been around a lot since he had joined, but he was getting there. Every day he had been slowly going through the territory, memorizing where he was and how he got there, and trying to figure out if there was something new in places, see if there were any secrets. Having been looking out for changes, the egg that was left at the border did not go unnoticed. It might have been had it been a small egg, but this thing was big. His head was bigger than the fragile thing, but it was big nonetheless.
Padding over to it, the large male lion would sniff at it, ears pinning back to his head before he turned around to look to see if someone was coming, anyone, before looking around to see if anyone was leaving or coming back. Maybe the mother would be back? He didn't have high hopes though, considering there was no nest. "Hello?" He would call out, "There's an egg here!" He'd sit by it for now, keeping it away from the water, keeping it slightly warmer than before.
