Patience was something Mynthe somewhat lacked, having that sort of survival instinct that told her to attack as quick as possible so she wouldn't leave any open chances for her target to escape. This same instinct forced her to never really sit down, always on her feet whenever possible. Moments passed and she had begun to pace in the place she stood, front paws kicking up sand boredly with her eyes trained to them. Not much more waiting was to be had when she heard the footsteps of Goldenluxury, head turning sharply to look towards the Captain. Relief was to be felt as she finally got the cure for her short-lived boredom, the thylacine stopping her pacing and beginning to meet halfway with the Captain. Though, she didn't get too close and seemed to hold some distance between them. Mynthe looked over her walking sticks briefly, a thought of why Goldenluxury would attempt the initiation in such a state, crippled and broken. But past that there seemed to be something more to Goldenluxury, determination and bravery which made her think on whether the Captain was truly determined or just idiotic. However, Mynthe had her doubts on the Captain being idiotic.
She continued to study the Captain for a few more moments, finally opening her jaws to release the words. "Somewhat." She grumbled, tone neutral as she didn't give anything away. Her eyes peered over to the distant island not too far, Haven Island as they called it. "Where we get... Jungle Juice?" The words left as she kept her eyes on the island. Mynthe had never heard of such a term, "Jungle Juice", and to her it sounded like a game made up by a child rather than an actual thing used in a ritual. Later, she would regret her thoughts about Jungle Juice but right now she had her doubts that it actually worked. Besides if it did, who wasn't to say she would see something she would want? She had heard that it wasn't always bad. Those thoughts seemed to ease her mind a little, and so did the presence of Goldenluxury though she wouldn't admit that out loud even if her life depended on it. Briefly, her eyes landed back on the Captain, the thylacine opening her maw as to say something before getting cut off by an NPC arriving with the drinks of Jungle Juice.
The NPC had promptly put the two mugs down in the sand, a nod of their head before bounding off. She could feel a sense of anger rise in her stomach as she took a few steps back when the NPC came close, only relaxing when they left. She was still having trouble trusting others in the Typhoon but she would warm up eventually with time. Cautiously, Mynthe took a few steps forwards towards the mug where she looked into the oddly colored drink, jaws departed to take in it's scent to make sure there wasn't any poison. Even without the scents of poison lingering in the drink, she was still cautious and skeptical, head turning to look at Goldenluxury to see if she had drunk her already. That fearful feeling took over Mynthe like a plague, the marsupial taking s few steps away from the drink and huffing. No, she had to do this. Huffing, she closed her eyes tight before taking a few steps back towards the drink and lapping it up as quick as she could. Disgust was the first emotion that came over her, then fear. To her the drink tasted like garbage, the woman running her tongue around her mouth as she tried to get out the horrid taste that lingered from the drink. A frustrated sigh left her maw as she came to terms with the fact that she wouldn't be able to get out this taste no matter how hard she tried.
She accepted defeat, a shiver running up her body as the aftertaste was no better. Behind her she had barely noticed that the sun was almost completely gone, very little light lingering to light their path. "Drink taste shit." She grumbled her words to her companion, huffing and turning away to see that the sun was nearly gone. It was time. She looked towards the dock where a boat seemed to be heading back, the one for Haven Island so it seemed. The fear that she felt also angered her, it upset her because she didn't want to feel fear. She was stronger than that and fear should be an emotion not at all relevant to her. Promptly she cleared her throat and began to stride forward at a slow pace for Goldenluxury to match, beckoning the Captain with her finned tail. Her paws left the softness of the sand and made contact with the wood, Mynthe trying to suppress another influx of fear. She climbed into the boat and turned to look at Goldenluxury to see if she would need any help.
