Despite being large for a domestic feline, there are several moments in Bucky's life where he feels small. Ximen, a mutated cheetah with ram horns, manipulated Bucky and tore away his front left leg. There was nothing Bucky could do to stop the manipulation from happening, as there was no way a maine coon like him could fight off a cheetah. Fast forwarding to the present day, while Bucky managed to slip away from Stryker with Steve's help, it left quite an impact on the maine coon. Days afterwards, he felt scared and helpless-- that he nearly fell under Stryker's control, and couldn't even fight off the lion by himself. While in those cases, Bucky felt powerless and weak due to his size disadvantage, it doesn't always have to be like that. He can feel small while coming across a large dog, or in this case, a bear.

Steve wasn't the only little guy up against this grizzly bear. In the few instances in his life that he ran across a bear, the bear had been hostile, trying to attack either him or his clanmates. So he felt a little cautious as he padded over, taking his place beside Steve. Ryker could easily stomp on Bucky, or even swipe at him with their claws. Bucky wouldn't have a chance to fight back, even his metal claws won't sink into fur as thick as a grizzly bear. He can only hope this bear isn't planning to attack the moment he's approached. The bear seemed to be out of breath, while being soaked to the bone. He wasn't sure what exactly caused Ryker to apparently take a little swim. Light blue gaze locking on Ryker, the maine coon spoke up. "You're on Sunhaven territory," He meowed, his tail swishing back and forth, "I need your name and your business with our group." He glanced over at Steve momentarily, nodding lightly in agreement with the devon rex's comment.
