Bucky wished he knew that he could've ran away from his trauma far sooner than he did. Back when he initially realized he got brainwashed, and when his memories invaded his skull, he wished he did it then. But instead, he went back running to the place that wiped his head clean. Of course, only one person knew about his brainwashing, and they were long gone when he went running back, but he still wished he made the decision to stay away. He wouldn't have felt as much guilt on his chest months later, when he accepted that what he thought wasn't right. That he could fight the person Ximen shaped him into, that he could have a second chance. Who knows how different his life would've been if he didn't go running back, he might've not even ended up here.
Bucky was silently making his way through the territory, all by himself. The Helion was patrolling the border, when his ears pricked up at Perseus's young voice. "Hello? Is anyone here?" It didn't sound like Perseus was too far away, and the maine coon began to follow the voice, along with their scent.
It didn't take long for Bucky to be lead to the gate, with Perseus waiting at it. Perseus certainly sounded young, and despite him only being the size of a panther cub, he's nearly as big as the maine coon. Bucky wasn't sure how old they are, but they seemed pretty young to be out here by themselves. Even though it's becoming more and more common for younglings to join without parents, it still leaves Bucky wondering why they are alone. Getting a better look at Perseus, the Helion noticed the bruises and scrapes along their fur. Clearly, Perseus got into some sort of scuffle or fight before he wandered to their border, making the male wonder what happened. He should probably grab Venus while thinking about it, the tiger cub probably needs his wounds checked. "I'm here. Can you tell me your business with Sunhaven, along with your name?"
"I'm Bucky Barnes, Helion of Sunhaven. I can grab our Solbinder, Venus, to check those scrapes and bruises you got there."
