Clarence knew he couldn't let the lion get away. Without any hesitation, the man sprinted after the larger being. For someone who preferred peace to violence, it certainly seemed like he pursued conflict too often. Still, they hadn't been able to get any sort of information and Stryker would just cause more heartache if he didn't stop him. It was too dangerous to let him go. So, while Steve led a shaken Bucky away, Clarence had gone after the white lion. He didn't have any sort of plan, but he knew he couldn't let anyone else get hurt. His sister had once told him that it wasn't his fault when people were hurt and that he couldn't help everyone. He knew she was right. But he didn't want to help everyone. He just wanted to help this one time. Just once. That's what he told himself, anyway, and it was easier to believe the lie than face his own problems.

His dark fur in contrast to the man he was pursuing, soon the panther caught sight of the creature and launched himself at the larger being, attempting to dig his claws into the side of his pelt and bite down. He needed to make him stop. While he was a soldier, Clarence wasn't sure what the most effective way to fight as an animal was. Still, he assumed tackling was still a good way to get someone - or something - to stop as soon as possible. If he could keep the man in this territory, maybe he could knock him out and drag him back to a place where he could be held, just until they were sure he wouldn't hurt anyone anymore. Clarence wasn't sure what the likelihood of him actually beating the man in a fight was, but he wouldn't forgive himself if he didn't try.
