Was it silly to say that Bucky doesn't feel comfortable with herbs? Well, it probably sounds silly, considering herbs are used majorly by their solbinders to treat illness and injuries. For better words, Bucky feels uncomfortable using herbs himself. He was never too interested in a medical path, from the moment he was a little kit he was a fighter. He loved to hunt, and he assumed he loved to play fight with his older brother. His parents never taught Bucky basic first aid, and when they fell ill, they trusted young Buckingham to fetch them poppy seeds. Bucky didn't realize until months after their passing that he gave them the poisonous foxglove by mistake.
And to this day, it still haunts him. He can only hope that Fairylights will never, ever ask how her grandparents died. He doesn't remember Loxley being present at their deaths, so their real reason of dying must have been a mystery to his older brother. He didn't want Fairy to think he was a murderer, even though it's the truth. She shouldn't know his awful past, not yet at least.
The maine coon silently made his way through the territory, when his ears pricked up at Fairylight's soft whine. He rose an invisible eyebrow, what could've she done to manage to hurt herself in the territory? Trip over a twig? Step on a thorn? When he decided to investigate, he was relieved when he entered the scene to see her more lit up. She found herbs, it looks like. Bucky might be no medic, but even he knew she was picking herbs to put into her basket, she wasn't grabbing random weeds. "So, what herb are you grabbing Fairy? Looks like you've been reading up on it," He meowed, glancing at the open book momentarily, remembering seeing it in the house they shared.
