―――― Fairy was trying to make this place feel like home. While it was working, being so close to the holiday season made her miss her own parents dearly. It was nothing she could fix anymore, she knew, but she still tried what she could to keep herself distracted. And perhaps, while it made her heart ache more, she tried to keep with the traditions her family had kept. Hence, the young girl was now surrounded by various pieces of cookie-house kits that she had made herself. Granted, not all of them were made out of gingerbread- her own, which sat unbuilt in front of her, was made out of sugar cookies- but each of them had been painstakingly cut and detailed with toothpicks to give the apperence of shingles for roofing, indents for doorways and windows, and now with a large bowl of candies and bags of frosting spread across a large table she had found. There were also sturdy peices of cardboard box to use as a platform for each person's house, and pretty much a do-it-yourself holiday season cheer.
It helped, a little.
With her own sugar-cookie house sat in front of her, she took up a small bag of white icing, beginning to painstakingly glue the pieces together, since it would take a while to dry. She did not feel the will to announce the little party, but she had a feeling that those approaching would see the unfinished kits and simply help themselves.
