The past few days have been stressful, to say the least. His trip to the Ascendants didn't go according to plan-- he didn't expect his apology to backfire. Back there, Bucky thought he was doing the right thing-- he realized his mistakes, and how the majority of his clan didn't agree on the fighting. He wanted to end the feud once and for all, and for the two bordering groups to be neutrals like he and Marina initially planned. Though, on their journey back home, some anxious thoughts circled in his mind. What if the Ascendants say no to the neutrality? What if he just made things worse by trying to apologize? Bucky never had the responsibility of an entire clan on his shoulders until a few days ago-- the last thing Bucky wanted to do was put his clanmates in danger. By the time they arrived home, the nervous thoughts dimmed down, going to the back of his mind.
When Bucky smelled the Ascendants at the border, the male felt a tinge of nervousness, as he knows exactly why they're here. They finally decided on their answer-- whether they stay as enemies, or become neutrals-- god, Bucky hoped the latter. He silently made his way through the territory, not making a sound as he tracked the scent, hoping he'll be at the border soon.
And instead of seeing Agathe waiting for him, his gaze met Atticus. He heard Atticus call out for him when he made his way over, and he felt surprised for a moment. Bucky didn't know Agathe at all, but from his last interaction with her, he was sure her reign would have lasted longer and longer. But he isn't upset about her disappearance- oh no, he likes who he's dealing with. Atticus was calm, respectful, and mature when Bucky apologized, unlike most of his other clanmates who decided to show up. Bucky had to give him some respect for that. He dipped his head in greeting to the other leader, before looking up to fix his gaze on the panther. "Hello Atticus, congratulations on becoming leader," He meowed, deciding not to get anymore friendly than that- just a simple, respectful congratulations. "What've you and your clan decided on?" He questioned, hoping he'd hear the word neutrality come out of Atticus's mouth.
