[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 65%; font-family: timesnewroman; font-size: 10pt; text-align: justify;"]Jim was still thinking hard on what event he should host before bringing it up, later. He'd been plenty good at 'morale-boosting' events on ship(morale was just an excuse, of course), but this was .. different. Way different. Also, Jim didn't think dogs were capable of drinking alcohol, so parties were off.
... .... Well, it didn't matter right then, anyways. He'd heard that Beck was hosting a meet and greet -- Jim wasn't sure what'd that entail, but Jim was going to be there anyways. Jim couldn't pester people like he could in his captaincy, so this would have to do.
Beck's call was, of course, expected. And Jim .. didn't have anything to do right then, anyways. Jim was practically going mad with the lack of constant entertainment -- it wasn't nearly as bad as Riverside because of how well(?) managed this place was, but Jim wasn't entirely capable of all of the hobbies he'd used to do, so ...
"Uh. I'm Jim." He could introduce himself as James, but damn if Jim is going to give anyone any ideas to actually call him that. He sounds old whenever he's called it. Jim rummages around in the ornament box until he comes across a night sky ornament. Jim considers it, and then approaches the tree to awkwardly balance on his hind legs. "I used to be captain of a ship before I ended up here." A pathetically short introduction, but vague enough for Jim's tastes. Jim could honestly probably get away with lying about his entire past, to be honest, but .. lying to his .. groupmates ... just .. put a foul taste in his mouth. Of course, ommission wasn't lying, but honestly wouldn't be a horrible practice. Hey, if it goes south, he can just run away, no problem! They didn't have files on every living person here, after all.
