bearing down on the window pane again, this day just sucked now didn't it? venus rested their silver-toned head upon the wooden ledge, sapphire gaze entranced by the sight of water trickling down the glass while their body was enveloped by the gentle comfort of their blanket. serene. despite the chaos erupting outside, venus tried to keep their mind off the inevitable flood oncoming and tried to catch some genuine sleep for the first time in what seemed like forever. outside and beyond the vision solely focused on the patterns of rain droplets racing down the glass' slippery surface, the sight of marina's house was in the distance - somewhat out of focus as the kitsune kept their gaze fixated on the rain's descent. when it became apparent that the helion's house was slowly but surely succumbing to the watery fate of some of the other houses venus almost mistook the happenings for something but a figment of their imagination. but this was no daydream.
rising from their bed quick enough to make an audible noise while they scurried, venus exited their humble abode with caution and concern. was this the start? or an end? the closer the kitsune got to the carnage, the more apparent that the loss of her home was causing considerable distress for the fellow havener. venus feeling slightly awkward about the situation. "well, it was bound to happen. all our homes are just dead men walking now." with a slight grimace venus sheepishly made their way to the side of the taller female, baby blues looking up to the woman with cautious concern. it was hard to sympathise, but as a solbinder the teen was expected to at least comfort the patient. "you need a place to stay, i can vacate a bed in the solbinders' quarters if you'd like." dignified? not exactly. but it was what marina needed, she couldn't go without a bed.
