There wasn't anything horribly mind-altering in her drink this time, just a pick-me-up. For someone who fancied herself a young god (or at least god-adjacent), Radeken had been waking up feeling very unholy lately. The cold brought the sniffles and the aches with it, and she had always been a huge baby about that. Radeken had dedicated her existence to understanding the nuances of illness and the physical form and she still managed to be shocked and appalled by her own susceptibility to seasonal ailments. It wasn't a conundrum that was going to be solved any time soon; she had better, more important things to be doing than question herself.

For instance, on this evening the small wolf found herself snooping around the territory, skirting the edge of the Starpool. She paused for a drink that set gleaming ripples fleeing from her across the surface of the water. The warmth of her evening tea still sat comfortably in her tummy, but she couldn't resist the urge to ice it out, to test how cold the water had gotten lately. She shrugged her bag back on, an action accompanied by the familiar sounds of shifting papers and rattling bottles, and continued onward. She was restless. Restless in a way that goading someone into bickering with her wouldn't solve, even, which was insane. It always felt that way when one's own favorite hobby couldn't satisfy them.

I'll just have to up the ante, she thought with a look of resolve, passing by foliage that brushed her sides in faint adoration. It would certainly be harder to find somebody to rope into her scheming out here, but the idea was to minimize the amount of people who saw her skulking around with that look on her face and that air about her. Surely she couldn't be the only one out here all alone?
