Bakugou was as genuine as he could be and it extended to the way he presented himself. Even when meeting strangers at the border, he didn't like to act hospitable for the simple reason that he thought it was wrong to display a fake image of himself. It was stupid to think of himself being welcoming and polite only to slip back into his usual routine of snark and antisocial mannerisms. He'd like to think he had a similar point of view when it came to costumes or dressing up in general. He wanted to be as accurate of a reputation of himself as possible. Even then, he didn't find the idea of it to be fun at all. It seemed like something that would be miserable for him, reminding him too much of his human childhood where he wanted to play heroes, always hogging the best parts. He would prefer them to stay as memories rather than continue them now. It was too painful to think about it. The sensation of it ached, churning in his stomach, swelling like a balloon. There was always this guilt running in the back of his mind, his nostalgia towards his childhood that had seemingly been erased. Technically, he was no longer who he was because this was another life. The only one who was stopping him from moving on was himself.
He blinks, bewildered to see the pirate princess costume before noticing the sword she was holding. Although Goldenluxury was his superior, he would always view the bengal as someone younger than him, someone who needed to be looked after. "Oi, be careful with it," Bakugou replies to her, ears flattening against his skull. "I didn't make it expectin' it to be used as part of a costume. It could seriously hurt you." It was one of his best works and, to be honest, he was wondering why he even put the effort into it. He cared about the idea of perfecting the blade with his newfound earth elementals, ensuring the blade was sharp and gleaming, but he got carried away. He forgot that Goldenluxury was still, in all technicalities, a child. He didn't make her a toy but a real weapon. It seemed far too scary for the male to have just left the item in her paws. But before he could say anything else, Technopaw speaks up, turning around to see that the child was dressed as a pumpkin. Round, was all he could think. He frowns a little at her question only to be further pressured by Luciferus.
As much as he was interested in traveling to Sunhaven, today would not be the day. There was no way he would be dressing up to go trick or treating for candies he didn't even want, no way that he was going to go trick or treating without a costume. It simply didn't work out. "I'll pass," Bakugou responds, "Don't let me hold you back."
