As his eyes caught sight of Lucifer, Paper hurried over to him. He seemed the type to have supernatural powers- maybe he could help, or at least see him.
Sure enough, Lucifer looked at him, acknowledged him- yes, he could be seen. Yes, he was back. It was hard to believe, after all the strife he had been through with Rubydelusions, that he could return and be acknowledged again. With a heavy sigh of relief, Paper nodded. "So you can see me," he said, a small smile on his face. Things were going well for once.
Then came Gold, also apparently cognizant of his presence. Looking over to her, he opened his mouth- then froze, as her words echoed.
Who was he? Lucifer clearly recognized him, so he probably looked the same, so why did she not know that? ”I... yeah, I’m from here,” he muttered finally, furrowing his brows. ”We’ve... we’ve met before. You found my mom’s book, remember?”
Maybe she really didn’t remember. His memory of the past few months wasn’t the best, being interrupted by long stretches of nothingness or bursts of piercing static several times, so... hadn’t there been something with the Pitt? (He was a terrible crew mate... couldn’t even remember basic things like this. Useless.)
Looking down, he shook his head. ”Sorry. I- things got weird when the attack happened.”
